Specklinia grobyi

Specklinia grobyi is a miniature, cold to hot growing, epiphytic species found in Central and South America.  Plants bloom on an apical, racemose, 1″ to 6″ [2 to 8 cm] long, inflorescence with a triangular bract and carrying few successively opening flowers that can be variable in color (yellow to yellow with red throats) and blooming times.  Plants are very compact, characterized by slightly elongate, rounded leaves.  The picture is of the compact version of Specklinia grobyi.

Plants are usually grown mounted on tree fern or bark.
