Description
Specklinia grobyi is a miniature, cold to hot growing, epiphytic species found in Central and South America. Plants bloom on an apical, racemose, 1″ to 6″ [2 to 8 cm] long, inflorescence with a triangular bract and carrying few successively opening flowers that can be variable in color (yellow to yellow with red throats) and blooming times. Plants are very compact, characterized by tiny round leaves. While Specklinia grobyi is always small, this is the more compact version (as seen in the picture). The “regular” version has more elongate leaves. Ultra cute either way.
Plants are usually grown mounted on tree fern or bark.
Also known as Pleurothallis grobyi
