Pleurothallis stricta

$19.99

Pleurothallis stricta is a small, cool to warm growing, epiphytic species found in Columbia and Ecuador.  This is one of the easiest plants to grow and bloom you will ever own.  The flowers are held high above the lovely foliage.  They are maroon and yellow striped, and they last for many months at a time.  You will rarely see it out of bloom.  The flowers aren’t big individually, but the inflorescences are nearly as tall as the foliage and have many flowers.

Like other pleurothallids, these Pleurothallis stricta likes to be in low light and kept moist (but not wet) year round.  These guys also do great in terrariums.

Plants come potted in moss.  You can choose a different medium, but I have found they love moss 🙂  If you have not yet become enlightened as to the magic of moss, please read this.

Blooming size

Temp:  cool-warm

Light:  moderate to low

Water:  evenly moist
