Description
Oberonia cavaleriei, Cavaliere’s Oberonia, is a warm-cool growing miniature that ticks all the boxes for me: small size, terete leaves, interesting color on the leaves (dark green with fine white speckling), heat and cold tolerance, and super cool flowers whether you look at them from afar or up close. I’m not saying that you’re stupid if you don’t have one, I’m just saying that SOME people might say that. I try not to judge. I try.
To see some exquisite pictures from a master grower, Marni Turkel, look here. Orchidspecies. com is an excellent reference for all species. I do make a monthly contribution because I appreciate Jay Pfal’s work. Thanks to the information on the site, I just learned that this species was described by the same person who named Neofinetia falcata! Cool!
