Maxillaria is a large, diverse genus of orchids, with very different morphological forms. Their characteristics can vary widely. Commonly they are called Spider Orchids, Flame Orchids or Tiger Orchids. Most species are very easy to care for and grow quickly.  Most are fragrant!
