Maxillaria variabilis

A small sized, hot to cool growing lithophytic or epiphytic orchid, originating from Mexico Guatemala, Belize, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia and Ecuador, found on or below trees in open and dense humid forests. It blooms throughout the year with several sheaths that carry the single, 3/4″ sized, variable colored (yellow to dark red), long-lasting flowers.
