Description
Dendrobium parishii is found in Hainan China, Assam, Bangladesh, eastern Himalayas, Myanmar, Thailand, Laos, and Vietnam as a small- to medium-sized, hot- to cool-growing epiphyte. Canes can be upright to slightly pendant, so you may grow in a pot or basket. Flowering occurs from February through August with a peak season of May and June, so do not be alarmed when the canes begin to lose their leaves in preparation for blooming. Flowers are beautiful, fragrant, and long-lasting. Water liberally in the growing season, and back off in the cooler winter season to initiate blooming (again, be ready for leaf loss). Plants come in 2″ pots.
