Description
Dendrobium Kuniko (D. goldschmidtianum x D. vicoriae-reginae) is a hybrid of two Phillippine species that produces long, pendant canes and amazing purple-blue flowers. For a great extended description of this species, check out this page. Because of the long canes, I have most of these mounted, but they can also be grown in a basket. D. Kuniko flowers are plentiful, large, BLUE!!!, and long-lasting. Easy to love, and easy to grow in intermediate to warm conditions.
As with many dendrobiums, water and fertilize D. Kuniko liberally in summer, and slack off for a slightly drier winter rest to initiate blooming in the early spring.
Plants are blooming size and at least two big canes (usually more).
Temperature: Int-warm
Light: Moderate
Water: Water well in summer, back off in winter
