Description
Schoenorchis tixieri, the fragrant Schoenorchis, is cool- to warm-growing native to the deciduous forests of parts of China and Vietnam. Like other Schoenorchis, this is a super-mini species with close-packed leaves that produce bunches of tiny flowers in summer. These flowers are bright pink and the plant is unbelievably cute in or out of bloom.
Many Schoenorchis are used to being warm and bright, so they like to get wet and then dry out quickly (as would happen in a hot and breezy environment). My conditions are intermediate to warm, and I have had no problem growing Schoenorchis as long as I let them dry out. To promote quick drying, you should grow them mounted.
