Schoenorchis scolopendria

Schoenorchis scolopendria, the millipede-like Schoenorchis, is a super creeper that branches out to cover whatever it’s mounted on.  I totally love this guy as I love all creeping orchids.  The growth form is beyond cool, and the flowers are just like Schoenorchis fragrans except they occur all along the “millipede.”  In fact if S. fragrans grew out of control, this is what it would look like.  Kinda.  Cool to warm grower.

Naturally occurring plants grow over limestone outcroppings.  This tells you it doesn’t want to be too wet, but also make sure it gets some calcium.
