Neofinetia falcata Murasakitaishi (“Against Purple”) is a popular pink-blooming variety of fukiran. Flowers are slightly smaller but also slightly pinker than Shutennou while the plant is very similar in size. Flowers are characterized by a dark pink peduncle and nectary spur with a pink blush on the flowers as well while the petals and sepals of Shutennou are nearly white.
