Description
Growing Conditions
Dendrochilum (pronounced “dendro-KAI-lum”) prefers low light and likes to stay moist but not soggy. They also like to be pot-bound to bloom their best, but I have found that when they are divided, they fill the new pot quickly. They generally prefer intermediate to warm condition, and they prefer low light.
Species Information
Dendrochilum magnum is a showy medium-sized species with cascading cream to yellow fragrant flowers occurring in spring and fall. A show stopper! Although Dendrochilum magnum originates from cool, high elevations, they have done well for me in intermediate temperatures. Although I don’t usually carry non-miniatures, these guys are so beautiful I had to make an exception.
Potted in moss, blooming size plants.
