Description
Neofinetia pots are delicate and beautifully decorated fired clay pots. Traditionally they have three feet and are displayed with a single foot forward. Notice that pots decorated with special pictures usually have the most elaborate feature centered over one foot; however, the back of the pot is usually decorated, too. The most expensive Neo pots are hand-painted and have the artist’s name written in kanji on the bottom.
Typically, plants are not grown in these special pots although it is tempting! Plants are usually grown in common clay or plastic pots, and these special adornments are brought out for display and judging.
