Description
Dendrobium Mingle’s Sapphire (D. gonzalesii x D. vicoriae-reginae), like its cousin, Dendrobium Kuniko, is a hybrid of two Philippine species that produces long, pendant canes and amazing purple-blue flowers. For some beautiful pictures of its parentage, check out this page. Because of the long canes, they can be mounted or grown in a basket. D. Mingle’s Sapphire flowers are plentiful, large, BLUE!!!, and long-lasting. Easy to love, and easy to grow in intermediate to warm conditions.
As with many dendrobiums, water and fertilize D. Mingle’s Sapphire liberally in summer, and slack off for a slightly drier winter rest to initiate blooming in the early spring.
Plants are blooming size and at least three big canes (usually more).
Temperature: Int-warm
Light: Moderate
Water: Water well in summer, back off in winter
