Brasiliorchis schunkeana

$29.99

Brasiliorchis schunkeana (formerly Maxillaria schunkeana) is an intermediate to warm growing species native to Brazil.  In summer, it produces bunches of nearly black, fragrant flowers that encircle the base of the plant.  Like many other Maxillarias (the genus seems to be a point of contention), Brasiliorchis schunkeana enjoys moderate light and plenty of water.  I grew one in a small glass stein with no drainage and it grew like mad.

Blooming size plants in 2″ pots.
