Description
Aerangis mystacidii is a miniature angraecoid from Madagascar. Like other angraecoids, the inflorescence is impressively large, especially compared to the size of this super-mini. A. mystacidii is an excellent choice for people who have limited space and low light. Of course you can put him outside for the summer, too. Intermediate to hot (50-100 degrees) conditions are great, and keep him on the shady and moist side. In fact, I have found that all Aerangis do best in shady, moist conditions. Aerangis is typically mounted to allow for the pendant inflorescence, but you can keep them in a pot if you prefer.
Aerangis mystacidii typically bloom between winter and spring, and flowers are surprisingly long-lasting.
These are mounted seedlings, near blooming-size plants even though they’re small. That’s just the nature of this genus and one of the things I like so much about them.

I have not killed it yet and for some reason I have a very hard time keeping miniature orchids alive. This one has survived for 2 years. Has not bloomed yet, but is growing leaves. Hoping to order more when they are back in stock.
