Neofinetia falcata: The Samurai Orchids
Neofinetia (Vanda) falcata, better known as "furan" or "fukiran" in Japan, is native to Asia and particularly cherished in Japan. Called "Rich and Noble Orchids," Neos were once so highly prized that they were owned only by people of high rank, earning them the nickname "Samurai Orchids." Unlike the typical orchid, fukiran, along with other Japanese orchids, are prized for their foliage which makes them a beautiful addition to your home year round. When they bloom, their delicate but long-lasting flowers fill the air with an intoxicating scent that is a mix of vanilla, honeysuckle, and orange blossom.
Most of our fukiran are priced by GROWTH: the more fans of leaves a plant has, the more expensive it is. Some special plants are priced individually; once that plant is sold, it is gone. The pictures here are examples of plants to give you a better idea of the appearance of each variety.
We STRONGLY suggest buying at least two growth plants to ensure better plant health and faster growth.
