I can’t wait to see my East Coast friends in November. Some places just feel like coming home, and New Jersey is one of those places for me. Thanks to orchids, I have so many more dear friends than I ever would have imagined, and a bunch of them are in the Garden State. Not only are they fun, friendly, and hilarious, but they are great growers, too, and very knowledgeable about their orchids. When you grow weird little species like I do, you appreciate such things.
There are three talks scheduled:
Monday, Nov 7, 2022: North Jersey Orchid Society
Tuesday, Nov 8, 2022: Deep Cut Orchid Society
Wednesday, Nov 9, 2022: South East Pennsylvania Orchid Society (SEPOS)
You can click on each of the societies for more information as to where and what time their respective meetings meet. I have visited all three in the past, and each is full of wonderful people. In addition, I hope that I can tell you something you didn’t already know or introduce you to a species you didn’t know you were going to love. If you have never been to an orchid meeting before, do yourself a favor and go. With orchid people, you never have to worry about an awkward pause in conversation; we all just talk non-stop about orchids!
