The majority of orchids occur as epiphytes in nature, so it’s natural to grow orchids on mounts. Mounting materials include cork, tree fern, wood shingles, clay, and even rock. I’m preparing a video on the different types of mounts to choose from. For now, if you have a mount and you have an orchid that you were thinking about putting on it, check out my latest video. It’s the first in a series that I’m working on to help people feel more comfortable with mounting their orchids and keeping them happy. In this one, I show you how to securely wrap a Dendrobium platycaulon so he’ll be happy for years to come, and I throw in some extra tips along the way.
Thanks for watching! Please subscribe and share with an orchid friend if you liked it!
Happy Growing,
Kristen
