Unlike most of the orchids we carry, Sophronitis is native to South America. Why do we have so many? Like the other orchids we love, these beautiful plants are compact, produce disproportionately large, very bright, flat-faced flowers, and are beloved in Asia. They grow under similar conditions as Neofinetia or Sederia, but like to be kept wetter. They like high light, high moisture, but no wet feet.
If you tend to overwater, this is the group for you!
